About the speaker
Lutz Prechelt:
 Lutz Prechelt is full professor of Informatics at Freie Universität Berlin since 2003.
Until 2000, he worked as senior researcher at the School of Informatics, University of Karlsruhe, where he also received his Ph.D. in Informatics in 1995.
In between, he was with abaXX Technology, Stuttgart, first as the head of various departments, then as Chief Technology Officer.
His research interests include
empirical software engineering (using both qualitative and quantitative methods), measurement and benchmarking issues, and research methodology.
Current research topics revolve around open source software development, agile methods, and web development platforms. |
